Apple Store in Bloomington, MN | Mall of America

The first place to look for an Apple Store in Minnesota is the Mall of America. This monument to capitalism has been a Minneapolis tourist attraction and shopping hotspot since it was built in the mid-90s. Housing all the latest shops, it’s no surprise that Apple put down roots in the nation’s most iconic shopping mall.

You’ll find the Apple store on the first level, on the West side of the building.

Apple Store in Edina, MN | Southdale Center Mall

The Southdale Mall in Edina is the closest to the Mall of America, so if you have no luck there, you can take a short drive on the main roads. Southdale Center is a more typical neighborhood shopping mall, but sports two levels. You’ll find the Apple store on the lower level on the South side of the building.

Heading North and West, you’ll find the next Apple store in the Ridgedale shopping mall in Minnetonka, near the 494, 394 cloverleaf. The Ridgedale is another two-level mall with an elegant design and some great internal artwork under the geometric sunroof. Again, the Apple Store is on the first level, this time found on the East side of the building.

All the way across the North side of Minneapolis toward St Paul is the Rosedale Center shopping mall and the Apple Store therein. The Rosedale Center is particularly elegant with a high-end selection of shops, including Apple. You will find the Apple store on the West side of the building, on the first floor near the escalators.

Can I go into an Apple store without an appointment for service?

Yes and no.

Anyone is welcome to wander into an Apple store.  You might even need an appointment now to purchase an iPhone. The review below said as much, but we’ll double check on that, but we know for sure you cannot just walk-in for a genius bar repair without an appointment.

If you need service for your phone or another Apple device, you will need an appointment to catch a timeslot with the shop technicians. Typically, apple store technicians cannot take walk-ins because they are already booked.

Can You Just Show Up to the Apple Genius Bar?

Typically, no.

The Genius Bar is Apple’s special term for in-store technicians who are available for repairs. If they have open appointments, they’ll make you sign-up for one really quick if they have availability. However, they are not available for on-call repairs because so many people have already made an appointment.

How Do You Make a Genius Bar Appointment in a Minnesota Apple Store?

To make a Genius Bar appointment, you need to go through your Apple troubleshooting steps online. Apple considers Genius Bar appointments to be a last-effort rather than a first-effort in diagnosing your phone.

If you go to the Genius Bar Support Page, first they offer you online support, then troubleshooting support, and finally let you book a Genius Bar appointment to have your iPhone, iPad, laptop, or computer repaired.

What Support is Available Without a Genius Bar appointment?

If you arrive without an appointment to an Apple Store or Genius Bar, if they have available appointment slots, you can sign-up for one to hopefully have same day service.
